About this piece

The verse is about light, so the painting had to actually behave like light rather than just depict it. The surface is built up in layers that pick up and release illumination differently depending on where you stand and what time of day it is. In the evening, under warm lamplight, it is a noticeably different painting than it is at noon.

At 48 by 60 inches this is a full-wall work. It suits a room with some ceiling height and a wall you can stand back from.
