Shipping policy
Every painting ships from my studio in Houston, Texas. I pack each piece myself, because I would rather spend an extra hour on the crating than lose a painting to a careless carrier.
Where I ship
I currently ship within the United States.
If you are outside the US and you want a piece, please email info@sarwatart.live before ordering. International shipping for large original work is possible but has to be quoted individually — freight, customs, and insurance vary enormously by destination, and I will not guess at a number that turns out to be wrong. I will get you a real quote.
Local collection in Houston — free
If you are in or near Houston, you are very welcome to collect your piece in person, free of charge. Email info@sarwatart.live after you order and we will arrange a time. Seeing the texture in person is worth the drive.
Shipping cost
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the size of the piece. Larger works need custom crating and freight handling, so they cost more to move than smaller ones. You will see the exact amount before you pay — there are no charges added afterwards.
Handling time
-
Smaller pieces: dispatched within 3 to 5 business days
-
Large works (48 inches and above): dispatched within 5 to 10 business days, because each one needs a custom-built protective crate
I email you a tracking number as soon as your piece is collected.
Transit time
Once dispatched, most US deliveries arrive within 3 to 7 business days. Very large works moving by freight can take longer, and I will tell you the expected window when I send your tracking number.
Insurance
Every shipment is fully insured for the purchase price, at no extra cost to you. This is not optional on my end. If something happens in transit, you are covered.
Delivery of large works
Pieces at 48 inches and above may travel by freight rather than standard parcel carrier. That means:
-
The carrier will normally call you to arrange a delivery window
-
Delivery is to your door, not inside your home — please have someone available to help bring a large crate in
-
Someone must be present to sign for it
I will always tell you in advance if your piece is shipping this way.
When your painting arrives
Please inspect it before you fully unwrap it. If there is any damage to the outer packaging, photograph it before opening. If the piece itself is damaged, photograph that too and email me within 48 hours at info@sarwatart.live. Insurance claims live or die on those photographs.
Wrong address
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If a painting is returned to me because the address was wrong or nobody was available to receive it, reshipping will be charged again. I cannot absorb freight twice.
Tracking
You will receive a tracking number by email on dispatch. If it has been more than 10 business days since you ordered and you have not heard from me, email info@sarwatart.live — something has gone wrong and I want to know.
