About this piece
This is the phrase people reach for when a situation has moved beyond their control. It is a statement of trust rather than resignation, and I wanted the painting to carry that steadiness — weighted, textured, unhurried.
At 36 by 48 inches it holds a wall on its own. It belongs somewhere you pass through often, where the reminder does the most work: an entryway, a landing, the wall you face first thing in the morning.
